Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of Masjidan: the Masjidan admin app (admin.masjidan.com) for mosque administrators, the Masjidan Jemaah app (on Android as com.masjidan.app and as a web app at app.masjidan.com), the Masjidan TV app for mosque information screens, and the masjidan.com website (together, the "Service").
By creating an Account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These Terms are available in Indonesian and English. If the two versions differ, the Indonesian version prevails.
1Who We Are
The Service is provided by Masjidan (masjidan.com), Indonesia, referred to in these Terms as "Masjidan", "We" or "Us". "You" means the person using the Service, or the mosque or organisation they represent.
2Your Account
- Give accurate information when you sign up (name, email, WhatsApp number) and keep it up to date.
- One Account per person. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for what is done with your Account. Contact us straight away if your Account is used without your permission.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Jemaah app, and of legal age (at least 18) to administer a mosque or subscribe on a mosque’s behalf.
- Guest accounts are temporary, for trying the Service, and may end when their trial period is over.
3Running a Mosque on Masjidan
- Only authorised administrators (for example the takmir or DKM) may register, claim or manage a mosque. By doing so, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that mosque.
- Some mosque records come from the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ mosque registry (SIMAS). Claiming a mosque does not make you its owner: we may verify that you administer it, refuse or remove unauthorised access, and hand management over to its rightful administrators.
- New administrators can use the Service’s features straight away. Publishing the mosque’s public page and opening new donation campaigns become available once the Masjidan team has verified you as an administrator.
- Administrators are responsible for the accuracy of what they publish on the mosque’s behalf, including announcements, event schedules, financial reports and donation campaigns.
- With an administrator’s approval, the Masjidan team may be given temporary access to the mosque’s account to help with set-up or technical support. This access ends by itself and can be ended by the administrators at any time.
4Trial and Subscriptions
- A new mosque gets a free 14-day trial with all features, no credit card required.
- After the trial, some features (including Masjidan TV) need a paid subscription. The price, period and number of TV devices in a plan are shown before you subscribe. Subscription payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider.
5Infaq and Donations
- Infaq and donations made through the Service go to the mosque, not to Masjidan. Masjidan does not hold congregation funds; the Service helps mosques record, display and report infaq.
- The mosque is responsible for receiving, using and reporting funds for their announced purpose, and for complying with the applicable regulations.
- We may stop donation campaigns that are misleading or unlawful.
6Prohibited Use
When using the Service, you must not:
- break the law, or publish content that is fraudulent, hateful, pornographic or infringes the rights of others;
- impersonate another person, mosque or organisation, or claim a mosque you do not administer;
- raise funds with false or misleading information;
- send spam, or collect data from the Service by automated means without permission;
- interfere with, probe or breach the security of the Service, or upload malicious software.
7Your Content
Content you upload (text, photos, videos, reports and other data) remains yours or your mosque’s. You allow us to store, process and display it as far as needed to run the Service, for example on Masjidan TV screens, on the mosque’s page or in the Jemaah app.
You confirm that you have the right to upload that content. We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.
8Personal Data
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Administrators who can see congregation data (such as contact details, attendance and infaq) may use it only for the mosque’s purposes and must protect it in line with the Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022).
9Availability of the Service
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". Features may change, and the Service may be interrupted for maintenance or by problems outside our control.
Prayer times are calculated from the mosque’s location and the settings its administrators choose. Administrators should check them against the official schedule of their local Ministry of Religious Affairs office.
10Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Masjidan is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data arising from use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the previous 12 months.
11Ending Your Use
You can stop using the Service and delete your Account at any time; see the account deletion page. Administrators need to hand their role over to another administrator before their Account can be deleted.
We may suspend or close Accounts that break these Terms, with notice where possible.
12Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we announce important changes in the Service. By continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
13Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes are first settled by discussion in good faith (musyawarah); failing agreement, through the means available under Indonesian law.
